The pandemic has severely impacted younger players, not just in Jamaica but the region. We are looking to bring the Football is Freedom grassroots experience to young females across the Caribbean. Utimately, the goal is to bring them all together at some point to train, play, and learn from one another.

In October 2021, the Football Is Freedom Initiative was launched with a training camp and international friendly match featuring the national senior women’s teams of Costa Rica and Jamaica, two of the top women’s national teams in the region.

The Football is Freedom Initiative seeks to collaborate with like-minded individuals, organizations, and brands in order to provide a wide range of support for the development of women’s football at every level
